Workshop Description
Using compost, worms, bokashi or chooks to turn kitchen and garden waste into black gold for your garden.
Kitchen and garden waste are a large portion of what many households throw into home garbage bins, but turning these resources into compost has benefits for you and the environment. This webinar will teach you how to take simple and free raw materials and turn them into beautiful “black gold” to feed the garden and treat food waste sustainably.
Presented by Sustainable Gardening Australia, the webinar will cover what compost is and how it is made, the basic compost recipe, and common problems and remedies. Worm farming and bokashi – both great alternatives for people without space for a compost bin – will also be discussed.
