Join Horticulturist Liz Rowe to learn how a rain garden can help each raindrop stay longer and go further in supporting your garden to thrive in a changing climate.

In this session, Liz will guide you through:

• The urban water cycle. In flows, outflows and everything in between.
• Tips for sustainable use of water on and in your patch.
• Rain gardens. What are they? How do they work? What are the benefits?
• Rain garden design. Technical information to help you choose the right design and build your own.

This Masterclass provides you with practical advice and skills to “slow the flow” of rain and plan your own rain garden: from design and placement, right down to choosing suitable plant species.

All sessions are recorded and participants will receive the recording link which is active for two weeks. Friends of SGA receive a 15% discount on Masterclass full price tickets. You can become a Friend of SGA here. Green Garden Professional (GGPs) receive a 30% discount.

Bio 

Liz Rowe is a qualified horticulturist, vocational (TAFE) trainer, and plant care specialist with a strong focus on promoting sustainable practices in domestic gardens. Liz works with Sustainable Gardening Australia in the community workshops program bringing education on sustainable gardening practices to the broader community.
