In this masterclass, wildlife scientist and consultant Wouter van Dongen will teach you how to identify what wildlife may visit your garden as well as the practical steps you can take to attract these species. Wouter will cover everything from creating the correct vegetation structure to attracting birds, insects, frogs, lizards and much more! Whether you own a large forest block, or a small balcony in the suburbs, anyone can contribute to improving the habitat for local wildlife and aiding in their conservation.

Master Class Presenter – Wouter van Dongen
Wouter van Dongen, has a Doctorate in Zoology, and has travelled the world as a wildlife research scientist. He also has a strong background in horticulture and runs a horticultural business in Melbourne. Wouter’s passion for both wildlife conservation and horticulture has provided the perfect background for his role as a consultant in creating wildlife gardens. He has created wildlife gardens throughout Melbourne and presented workshops at special gardening events for councils, garden clubs and others. His work in wildlife conservation has led to over forty articles in scientific journals and magazines and multiple radio interviews.
