Workshop Description

The Soil Food Web is a mysterious universe of life below our feet that powers all life on earth. Learn how to work with the Soil Food Web to improve your soil and therefore the health and productivity of your garden

This a fun interactive workshop that introduces participants to some of the important characters (organisms) in the Soil Food Web and their role in developing active living soil. The workshop includes an introductory presentation and a role play where participants can take on and act out attributes of a soil organism. The interactive activity works best when there are at least 15 people to take on roles in the role-play. There is no cap on the number of people as many can learn by watching and listening to the activity. The room set up for this workshop needs to include a space for an introductory presentation and an open area of at approx. 5m x 5m for the role play to be performed.
