  • After certification, subscribers will have access to rating system shelftalkers clearly identifying products of low environmental impact, and access to affordable point of sale material, including posters, on sustainable gardening practices.

  • Commercial advantage associated with adopting a marketing position that recognises customers’ environmental concerns.

  • Access to core samples of SGA handouts on sustainable gardening practices for distribution to your customers.

  • Early notification of new environmental product and service opportunities.

  • Affordable staff training in sustainable gardening practices and products, increasing job satisfaction and customer service.

  • A copy of the electronic newsletter distributed free to SGA home gardener subscribers with information on sustainable gardening.

  • Invitation to attend the SGA Garden Retail subscribers discussion group that will meet at various locations to present and discuss issues, e.g. greywater installation.

Many garden centres employ staff who already have the knowledge, skills and commitment to make their operations more sustainable. SGA will provide the framework to deliver this information to customers and to continually improve staff skills and knowledge.


Subscription Rates

Small Garden Centre (1-6 staff) $275 per year
Medium Garden Centre (7-14 staff) $440 per year
Large Garden Centre (15+ staff) $715 per year
