Anyone in the Brisbane area?

Anyone in the Brisbane area?

Postby SuziBabe » Thu Aug 06, 2009 10:06 am

I am relatively new (18 months) to Brisbane, and certainly to this climate so things are a constant learning curve it seems. Anyone in my area willing to pass on tips/knowledge so I can turn my unproductive garden into a sustainable, native, widlife and bird friendly oasis?

Or know any good short courses, brilliant organic nurseries, permaculture specialists in the area? etc etc

I am in Ashgrove, backing onto Ithaca Creek and the Broncos training ground.

HI,

I am in Brisbane too, I am still learning as well. I have found the community garden at Northey Street Windsor to be a great source of information. They have a community garden and an organic market that runs from 6am on a Sunday. The community garden is open then too and there are always a few staff around. They also run workshops on sustainability etc. If you google them they have a website too. Cath

There's groups within the group. You can join in online or come along to one of the get togethers.
