Ground-up Gardening!Sustainable Gardening Australia launched its first home gardener workshop series -'Ground-up Gardening' - at Burnley Horticultural College, University of Melbourne, in late April/early May 2008. The courses have been incredibly popular and well attended bringing together both novice and experienced home gardeners. The next SGA Ground-up Gardening workshops will run at Burnley Horticultural College, University of Melbourne, on Saturdays October 18th and 25th, 2008. Bookings are NOW OPEN. Each workshop identifies the natural connections between individual elements in a sustainable garden from its design and development through to its ongoing maintenance and seasonal adaptations. Course CostFor just $175 (GST included), participants can attend the two part series. In addition, they will receive notes at all workshops sessions to enable them to revisit the extensive information provided. All presenters are experienced trainers with years of practical experience in the gardening and nursery industries. The program recognises the important role home gardeners have to play in the ongoing sustainability of our suburbs in an era of global warming and climate change. |
